SEATTLE, WA — The bright flash of a meteor in the dark skies over the Pacific northwest was caught on tape by the Idaho Air National Guard Tuesday morning.
An official at the Federal Aviation Administration said the agency received reports of the streaking meteor around 5:45 a.m. local time from pilots over Washington and Idaho.
The meteor landed in eastern Washington, about 175 miles east-southeast of Seattle and 90 miles southwest of Spokane.
Sheriff’s dispatchers said there were no reports of any damage.
