A Declaration of Interdependence from Us the People

Happy 4th of July.

Declaration of Interdependence

It is time to complete what was started on July 4th, 1776.
All Persons do have the inalienable right to
Life, Liberty and Happiness.

We formed a government to help us achieve
Life, Liberty, and Happiness for All.

This Government is We the People ….
Not only has We the People clearly failed
-Life, Liberty and Happiness is real only for a few –
We the People is actively making our lives worse.

We the People gladly takes our money.
Every penny that we earn from Jan 1 until April 17th
Goes to pay taxes.

We the People has failed us even with the basics,
food, medicine, shelter, education.
Moreover, We the People is spending our money,
plus trillions dollars of our children and grandchildren,
On things we do not want, like wars,
And worse, on things that make us ill –
coal fired power, depleted uranium.

I have had enough!
It is time for a new social contract,
One truly Of, For and By the People.

We the People was designed on the premise
The People are incapable of ruling ourselves.
Is it surprising that the few
Get to Tell you what and how to do?

As Thomas Jefferson observed:

Laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the process of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. Quoted on Jefferson DC Memorial wall.

People are now capable of governing ourselves.
Only we know what we need. To get it we have to work with others.
The technology for participatory democracy is at hand!

On this July 4, 2007, I hereby proclaim my
Declaration of Interdependence.

I invite you to do likewise.
Let’s associate together to define
A new social contract that will achieve
Life, Liberty, and Happiness for All.

The dialogue has begun by
Us the People, a transformative Association.

Please be an active part of Us the People:

In Love for All,
Fenton Wilkinson
